Correct a Failed Claim for Electronic Submission
Before a claim can be submitted electronically to clearinghouse OfficeAlly, it must pass therapyzen's internal 'scrub' process. The scrubbing process checks for essential CMS data that is required for a claim to be accepted by the clearinghouse or payer. If a claim fails therapyzen's scrub, follow the steps below to make corrections.
Fixing a claim that has failed therapyzen's scrub process
- As a claim gets created and sent to therapyzen's staging area, it is automatically checked for required data. If it fails, it will be labeled as Failed and cannot be submitted electronically until all required data is entered.
Fix the failed claim by clicking the action dropdown button and selecting the option to Edit CMS 1500.
Locate the list of errors on the left side of the edit CMS page.
Use the Edit CMS quick navbar to navigate to the section that needs correcting.
Enter the missing data and click the Update CMS button to save your changes.
If no other errors have been detected, click the Back to Staging button to return to the claims dashboard.
Your claim has now passed therapyzen's claim scrub and can be electronically submitted to Office Ally or printed for manual submission.
