Create a Claim

Creating a claim in therapyzen only takes a couple seconds.  Simply mark your client's appointment as 'Kept' during your daily check in process and therapyzen will do the rest.  


Requirements to create a claim

Before you can create a claim, the following setup in therapyzen is required:

  • Have the therapyzen insurance features enabled
  • Have your insurance payers setup
  • Have client insurance information filled out on their client profile.

Creating a claim

Creating and submitting claims is built right into the appointment check in process.  While setting the 'Kept' status for any appointment, you will have the option to create the claim file upon save.

  1. From the Home page or client record, click the 'Check In' button to set the client's appointment status as Kept.

  2. Set the appointment status as Kept and leave the option to "Create Invoice and Send to Claim Staging" checked.  Click Save.

  3. Your claim has now been sent to Claim Staging where it will be scrubbed for accuracy and required data.  Once it has passed therapyzen's scrub process, the claim can be sent to clearinghouse OfficeAlly or downloaded as a CMS form.
