Enabling Appointment Reminders
To avoid costly no-shows, take advantage of automated emails and sms messages to remind your clients of upcoming appointments. Enable reminders with just a couple clicks in the settings area.
1. Getting started
Click Settings in the main navigation menu to go enable appointment reminders.
2. Messaging settings
Find the Messaging tab to view all automated messaging handled by TherapyZen
3. Enable/disable SMS reminders
Locate the Appointment Reminders widget in settings. Click the toggle to enable or disable appointment reminders by sms message. TherapyZen will send your clients a formatted text message 24 hours prior to their upcoming appointment.
International rates for SMS reminders
Sms reminders delivered outside of the United States will be subject to international carrier rates. International sms fees will be billed monthly to your credit card on file.
4. Enable/disable email reminders
Locate the Appointment Reminders widget in the System Generated Emails area of settings. Click the toggle to enable or disable appointment reminders by email. TherapyZen will send your clients a formatted email message 48 hours prior to their upcoming appointment.
5. Set your client records to allow reminders.
Some of your clients may not want to receive messages for privacy reasons, however for those who do want to be reminded, you will want to make sure their account is configured to receive automated messages from TherapyZen. To enable reminders, follow these steps"
5a. Go to your client records and locate the Contact Info tab.
5b. Set the primary contact information and makes sure that emails and text messages are set to "Allowed"
