Messaging 101

To help consolidate all of your practice tools and activity, Therapyzen offers secure messaging for communicating with your clients when they are not in session.  This secure messaging tool makes use of the client portal to allow your clients to send and receive messages from you or administrative members of your staff.

What you need to know:

  • For HIPAA compliance, messages sent to clients do not leave the confines of the Therapyzen application.  Clients will be required to login to their portal account to view, reply and create messages.
  • Clients are alerted by email that they have a new private message from your practice.  They are prompted to login to their portal to access their messages.
  • Clients can not initiate a message outside of therapyzen.  They must be logged in to create a new message to your or your staff.
  • Clients can send messages to their primary clinician, secondary assigned clinicians and administrative staff.
  • Clients can not send messages to other clients.
  • Clinicians can not send messages to clients who are not assigned to them.
