Editing Appointments: A Guide to Overcoming Grayed Out Dates and Times

Problem:

I'm trying to edit the appointment date/time of an appointment but it is grayed out.

Reason:

The issue you are facing is related to the way the system handles appointments and their status. In order to maintain accurate records and track the status of appointments, the system is designed to prevent the editing of an appointment dates and times once a status has been saved for that appointment.

For stand-alone appointments: 

Create a new appointment with the new date/time. If you want the existing appointment edited or deleted please contact support and inquire if the existing status can first be removed.

For recurring appointments:

To remedy this, you will need to edit the existing recurring appointment series and change the end date as shown in the screenshot below to the date of the last appointment or just before the next scheduled appointment. Once this is done, you can create a new recurring appointment series based on the updated schedule.

Keep in mind that this will affectively terminate the appointment you are editing so it's important you set the end date correctly so you can still access appointment status settings for previous appointments.
