Add Payment Notes
When paying an invoice, you may want to include important notes about the payment.
1. Getting started
From the client record, locate and click the Ledger tab to view all invoices and billing details.
2. Apply payment to an open invoice
Select an invoice to pay from the Open Invoices grid.
3. Add a payment note
When the invoice payment form displays, use the Payment Notes field to enter your notes. Save the payment.
4. Preview the payment notes
Once you paid the new open invoice, click Print to view the invoice and your invoice notes.
5. The invoice and payment notes
Payment and invoice notes appear below the viewable invoice. *Important: Invoice and payment notes do not print on the the invoice. They are for internal use only.
